Friends.

Crazy, inspiring people. I know some of them. And I adore them. They are more than worth it to get mentioned here. At first the curtain rises for my good friends, Helge (editor, cutter, brewer), Lukas (DJ and UX designer) from Hamburg and Johanna (illustrator and graphic designer) from Leipzig.

Helge Neidhardt. Editor. Brewer.

I know what you're thinking right now. Editor, brewer … can Helge also do magic tricks? He maybe can. But besides that, he knows exactly what he is doing. Helge and I met at Jung von Matt several years ago. From the first second it was clear to me, that Helge can more than only advertising. Besides his "normal" job as an editor at Jung von Matt (commercial break: from March on you can book him as a freelancer), with two of his best friends he founded a new beer brand, called "ØLZN". Not only that it tastes like heaven, it also looks damn sexy. So if you're coincidentally nearby Uelzen in North Germany (his hometown and the location of the ØLZN taproom), please take your chance and say hallo (like a good German would do). Here you can find Helge's work and of course also your favourite beer from now on:

Lukas Max Simon. DJ. UX Designer.

Lukas is a multi-talented guy. His name consits of three (!) forenames, he is a UX designer and he is DJ'ing in some of Hamburgs hippest bars and clubs. Since his father introduced him to music, Lukas loves any kind of genres and artists, like JJ Cale, the Beatles or Thelonious Monk. Meanwhile he spends every free minute in his new studio, which he has built with his good friend Rukan. Okay, I've bubbled enough. It's time for some great music. Follow the links below and please do only one thing: enjoy as much as you can.

Johanna Walderdorff. Illustrator. Graphic designer.

I have met Johanna at Jung von Matt for the first time. She is a very kind and creative human being. After studying in Munich and London she improved her magic skills in Hamburg. With the conclusion: advertising is not everything. A year ago she moved to Leipzig and till this day she works as a freelancer for illustrating and graphic design. Beneath you can see some of her works. Please check her websites and don't hesitate to contact her in some of your most attractive, bavarian words.
