The Greatest Skier Of All Time.
Even though I never touched a pair of skis in my life, I was lucky enough to honor the greatest skier of all time: Mikaela Shiffrin. To celebrate her legendary success (winning the 87th title) and 12 years of an unforgettable teamwork with Barilla, we created a 87 seconds film.
Additionally a new limited edition pasta, in the shapes of an "8" and "7" was made for Mikaela and some of the 87 packs were auctioned to donate the profits to famous chef Massimo Bottura's (Netflix: Chef's Table) non-profit organization "Food for Soul".
A 30 second teaser with Mikaela and her visit at a very unknown American late-night show ("The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon") created even more attention for the auction of our new limited edition pasta, specially made for Shiffrin.
Last not least, famous Italian chef Davide Oldani created a special recipe to celebrate Mikaela's 87th title: "Rocky Mountain BluRhapsody cuttlefish gratin" – inspired by Mikaela's home Colorado and the best of Italian cuisine.
